Phoenicia Lewis is a photo-journalist with a history degree from Temple University. A former United States Army Officer, Phoenicia has taken advantage of every opportunity she has been given to photo document the world she has been privileged to explore. After serving in the U.S. Army for 5 years, including a year deployment to Iraq in 2009, Phoenicia volunteered as a Graphic Designer with Musalaha Reconciliation Ministry in Jerusalem. After leaving Musalaha she spent a month designing a project for Catholic Relief Services in Delhi, India. Phoenicia is presently working on building her portraits portfolio and compiling a book of landscapes displaying the beauty of, her home state, New Jersey.
Phoenicia specializes in landscapes and documentary photography. Her areas of focus are the Middle East and women's issues specifically in the developing world.
